IOS Mobile Developer

Role Overview

• Designing and developing mobile software for the iOS platform
• To ensure that developed software meets the performance, quality, and responsiveness requirements.
• To develop software using secure techniques, using industry accepted security standards and following good practice and guidelines form organisations such as OWASP
• To collaborate with the technical team to define, design, and release new features
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and potential software bugs
• To maintain code quality, organization, and automatisation.
• To contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
• To be able to write well designed, testable, commented & efficient code.
• To ensure software designs are in compliance with specifications.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years iOS mobile development experience within an enterprise software organisation.
• Proficient in Objective C, XCode as well as Swift
• Experience with iOS frameworks such as GSD, Webkit, UI Kit, SwiftUI, etc.
• Knowledge of PM’s like CocoaPods, SwiftPackages etc
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
• Experience writing Unit Tests Ideally with XCTest
• Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
• Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred
• Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools (depending on project needs).
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Experience dealing with customer support and troubleshooting issues.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, BitBucket).
• Familiarity with continuous integration
• Experience working within an Agile environment with TDD.
• Strong design skills and an understanding of architectural and design principals.
• Knowledge and experience in working either within highly regulated sectors such as Financial services or working with Financial Services customer organisations
• Passionate about what they do and take pride in the work they deliver, keen to details, an innovator: self-starter.
• A proven track record of working within technology teams either within office settings or remotely.
• Strong belief in own personal development and ability to promote personal development to team members.
• A team player, someone who can work within the technical team and also sales, marketing and operational teams
• Ability to use a pragmatic approach to solve an issue on a win-win basis.
• Ability to work under pressure effectively

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of PKI, Cryptography, OpenSSL, and cryptosystems.
• Experience in working within a start-up environment where on occasion, tasks may be allocated that may not fit within the core role description.
• Experience in dealing with customers.
• Knowledge surrounding authentication protocols (Such as Kerberos and Mutual TLS).
• Work with the Trusted Execution Environment.
• MDM/MAM technologies such as BlackBerry UEM, Microsoft Intune or others
