Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Learning and Development Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about employee growth and development and possess a strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories. The Learning and Development Specialist will collaborate with various departments to identify training needs, design and implement learning solutions, and evaluate training effectiveness.


Role Overview

  • Report to and work with our experienced Head of L&D (Former Atlassian) to conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities within the organization.
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging training materials for existing training programs and newly developed programs.
  • Deliver onboarding, training, and workshops assigned by the Head of L&D.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training content.
  • Help ensure the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms, and make necessary adjustments to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain learning resources such as training manuals, job aids, and online resources.
  • Provide project support to the Head of L&D
  • Provide coaching and support to team members as assigned by the Head of L&D.
  • Collaborate with peers and project stakeholders to support talent development initiatives and succession planning efforts.
  • Manage sourcing and booking of mentors, speakers, and engagement activity participants.
  • Coordinate and manage scheduling and interactions within Professional Development Programs.
  • Support facilitation/hosting of L&D-based engagement activities and events.
  • Co-manage L&D-based data, materials, and resources stored in L&D sites, knowledge centers, Project Management tools, and other platforms where project information resides.

  • Proficiency in learning delivery methods.
  • Proficiency in work management and quality management.
  • Solid project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and metrics to drive decision-making.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think innovatively about learning solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in operational leadership, training, learning and development, instructional design, or related field.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering training programs in a corporate setting.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise or similar platforms.
  • Experience in facilitating training, coaching, and mentoring sessions.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
